The leader of "DPS - New Beginning" Delyan Peevski sent his congratulations on the occasion of the professional holiday of the Bulgarian police. In a statement, distributed to the media by the press center of "DPS - New Beginning", he expressed his gratitude to the law enforcement officers.

"I congratulate all Bulgarian police officers for the dedication with which they fulfill their duty to the state and society, for whom the safety of the people is not just a job, but a mission," the statement said. This comes at a time when the professional holiday of the police is celebrated throughout the country, and respect for the forces of order is visible.

The message adds: "On Archangel's Day, the Bulgarian police celebrate their professional holiday - the law enforcement officers, to whom everyone entrusts the security, peace and order for every city, village, for every home. Those who are called to protect the borders of Bulgaria and Europe,"

Peevski emphasizes the key role of politicians in supporting the police. According to him, it is the responsibility of politicians to provide the necessary resources and working conditions for law enforcement officers. "In order for Bulgarian police officers to have the security to perform their duties with professionalism and dedication, it is the responsibility of politicians to guarantee the development and modernization of the structures, working conditions, the safety of law enforcement officers and their families - which they should always count on," the statement said.

The atmosphere today is filled with respect for those who risk their lives daily for our safety. Traditionally, the holiday is celebrated on the eve of Archangel's Day (November 8). Yesterday, a solemn ceremony was held in front of the building of the General Directorate "National Police" (GDNP) in the capital.
