The State Reserve guarantees that the country has enough fuel for the needs of the population and industry. This became clear from an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly, in which Asen Asenov, chairman of the DADRVZ, participated.
Main highlights:
- Total quantities: 1.7 million tons of fuel have been reported, of which 780,141 tons are in Bulgaria and 222,220 tons in other EU countries.
- Security: The country reports 85 days of security (of the required 90).
- Types of fuel and security:
- Gasoline: 64,453 tons (30 days of security) + 11,474 tons in Hungary, Slovenia and Romania.
- Diesel: 525,733 t. (64 days of security) + 42,746 t. in Hungary, Slovenia, Romania and Greece.
- Jet fuel: 5,395 t. (8 days of security).
- LPG: 656 t.
- Fuel oil: 54,724 t.
- Oil: 356,417 t. (173,000 tons in Italy and Greece).
- Oil refining: Takes from 23 to 40 days, the derivatives will ensure consumption for over 90 days.
- Regulation: The State Reserve stores fuel for 30 days, the obligated persons - for 60 days.
- Possibility of release: Stocks can reach the market within 5-15 working days (from Bulgaria) and 15-45 days (from abroad).
The presence and quality of the stored fuels have been confirmed. Meetings have been held with branch organizations to resolve problems.
