The funds for Blagomir Kotsev's bail have been secured, "We Continue the Change" announced on their Facebook profile. The party adds that the donation campaigns announced by Philip Bukov and Manol Peykov have raised over 240,000 leva in 5 hours thanks to over 2500 donors.
When the bail is refunded, the funds raised for Blago will be donated to meaningful and unifying causes, the post reads.
Earlier, "We Continue the Change" informed that donations were being collected for the financial bail of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev. Today, in a public hearing, the Varna Regional Court changed the measure of restraint for the mayor of Varna from "detention". He was released on bail of 200,000 leva, which must be deposited within seven days. Within the same period, the court's decision can be appealed to the Court of Appeal in Varna.
Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev was arrested on July 8, 2025. On November 13, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment with the Sofia City Court. On November 19, the Supreme Court of Cassation decided that the case should be considered by the Regional Court - Varna, and not by the Sofia City Court.
