Dr Nikolay Kiselkov took over today as head of the Complex Oncology Centre in Burgas, the hospital said.
His predecessor, Prof Dr Hristo Bozov, handed him the hospital's seal as a sign of continuity.
The centre's management thanked Prof Bozov for his time in charge and wished Dr Kiselkov health, wisdom and success in his new role.
"Because the mission stays the same – care for the patient, professionalism and hope!" the centre said in a statement, which ends with its motto: "Oncology Centre – Burgas – caring for life!"
