Fuel prices in the country continue to rise this week. Diesel shows the largest jump, increasing by 3.72 percent. According to data from the "Fuello" platform as of September 13, the average price of diesel has risen from 1.88 euro to 1.95 euro per liter. The monthly increase has reached 7.14 percent, or 0.13 euro.
The government has announced a plan to combat high fuel prices. This includes subsidies for strategic sectors such as public transport, medical transport, and student transport. According to media reports from September 18, the measures also include the removal of the excise duty on propane-butane.
Propane-butane is also becoming more expensive. During the week, its price increased by 1.47 percent, which amounts to 0.01 euro per liter. Over the last month, this fuel has increased in price by 6.15 percent, or 0.04 euro per liter.
A95 gasoline, the most common variety, is also showing an upward trend. Its average price rose by 0.05 euro per liter (3.07 percent) during the week — from 1.63 euro to 1.68 euro per liter today. On a monthly basis, the increase in A95 gasoline is 7.69 percent, which corresponds to 0.12 euro per liter.
Rising fuel prices and planned government measures will directly affect transport costs and the daily lives of residents in Burgas and the region.
Methane is also getting more expensive. According to "Fuello" data, the weekly increase in its average price is 0.72 percent, or 0.01 euro per kilogram. Over the last month, the rise in methane has been 6.87 percent, equivalent to 0.09 euro per kilogram.
