At an official ceremony, over 700 graduates of Burgas State University received their diplomas. The young specialists are completing their studies in the educational and qualification degrees of "professional bachelor", "bachelor" and "master". With the acquired high qualification, they are now prepared to begin their professional path and contribute to the development of the regional and national economy.
"We have invested in you all our competences, all our hope to prepare you for the future, all our love for your youthful drive. Now it's your turn to repay these investments by applying everything you've learned, by further developing it and by establishing yourselves in the most successful way in your future workplaces," said the rector of BSU, Prof. Dr. Sotir Sotirov, addressing the graduates.
Among the official guests at the event were the regional governor of Burgas region, Vladimir Krumov, Mihail Nenov, deputy mayor for education, healthcare, social activities and youth policies to Burgas Municipality, Mihail Hadzhiyanev, chairman of the Municipal Council of Burgas, Stefan Georgiev, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Burgas Regional Chamber of Tourism, Todor Stamboliev, public mediator of Burgas Municipality, Angel Stoykov, chairman of the National Representation of Student Councils in the Republic of Bulgaria, Katya Misheva, director of the "Education" directorate to Burgas Municipality, Maya Sarieva, regional coordinator of KNSB, Eng. Vidka Valcheva, deputy chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Burgas, as well as representatives of the National Organization of Medical Assistants and Paramedics in Bulgaria and rectors of BSU from previous mandates.
The ceremony, which took place in the Congress Center of the city, turned into a celebration for the students, their families and the academic community, marking the beginning of a new stage in the professional development of the young specialists. The university once again underlined its role as a leading educational center in the region and its commitment to prepare staff to meet the modern needs of society and business.
