Reorganization at Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov University
The Faculty of Social Sciences at Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov University in Burgas has been officially transformed into two separate academic units. The decision was made by the Council of Ministers following a proposal by the university's rector.
The purpose of the transformation is to better align academic capacity with the needs of modern professional fields.
The new faculties
- Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship: Will cover 22 majors in the fields of Administration and Management, Economics, Tourism, and General Engineering.
- Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities: Training here will focus on 29 majors at the bachelor's and master's degree levels, as well as two doctoral programs in the fields of pedagogy and philology.
The university administration assures that students will continue their studies in their respective majors without interruption. The change aims to increase the quality of research activity and ensure tighter specialization of the academic staff.
Meanwhile, the university is also reporting steady interest from international students, with 158 of them currently enrolled in the Medicine program taught in English.
