One hundred and seven young teachers from Burgas and fifty-seven of their mentors received thanks and recognition for their successful start in their professional careers. The ceremony, led personally by the mayor, Dimitar Nikolov, took place in the hall of the College of Tourism, located in "Ezero" Park.

The event, organized by the Municipality of Burgas, has already become a tradition for the educational community in the city. It is dedicated to the Day of the National Enlighteners - November 1st. The initiative aims to encourage new educators who have chosen to dedicate themselves to the profession that is the foundation of all others.

"On the eve of the most luminous and inspiring holiday - the National Enlighteners, I express my attitude and gratitude to you, young teachers, who have chosen an exceptionally noble, engaging and inspiring profession. This requires not only professional education and knowledge, but a big heart and love for science, life and, above all, for children. Because we entrust the future of our children into your hands. You are the ones who will educate in values and knowledge, you will motivate the new generation. Thank you to the mentors who encourage young teachers to confidently continue on the path of knowledge, the future and success. Thank you!", said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

A total of one hundred and seven young teachers are starting their professional development in the educational field in Burgas this year. Seventeen of them will teach in twelve kindergartens, and ninety - in thirty-five schools. In kindergartens, the largest number of teachers is in Kindergarten "Zvezditsa Zornitsa", Kindergarten "Veselushko" and Kindergarten "Delfin". The most new teachers have been appointed in SU "Yordan Yovkov" - eight, in the Vocational School of Marine Navigation and Fisheries "Saint Nikola" - seven, the High School of Foreign Languages "Vasil Levski" - five, SU "Episkop Konstantin Preslavski" - five, Secondary School "Dobri Chintulov" - five and AEG "Geo Milev" - four.

This year, the efforts of the mentors who supported and passed on their experience to the newly appointed teachers at the beginning of their careers were also recognized.

The mentors underwent training under the "Young Teachers" program of the Municipality of Burgas. This is the result of the purposeful efforts of the municipal administration, striving to retain young educators by providing them with the necessary conditions for support, professional qualification and full career development. The training was conducted by the team of the "Together in Class" foundation.

The young actors from the Theater College "Lyuben Groys" - Alexander and Alexandra, were the hosts of the spectacle, dedicated to the national enlighteners and education. The dance couple Diyan Gospodinov and Kalina Alcheva, as well as the singers Krisia Milkova, who performed the song "The First Teacher" /music and arrangement - Georgi Miltiyadov, lyrics - Teodora Vuleva/, and Ivayla Goranova, who performed "Bregove" /music and arrangement - Georgi Miltiyadov, lyrics - Desi Sofranova/ took care of the festive mood.
