Six elite teams will face off in the 12th traditional "Todor Hankov" men's handball tournament. The upcoming competition, which has traditionally become an attractive spectacle for fans of the sport, will take place despite the fact that the players are only just beginning their preparations for the new season. All matches are scheduled for September 12 and 13 at the "Nikola Stanchev" sports hall, with only days left until the start of the tournament.
The distribution of the teams in the two groups is as follows:
- In the first group, the hosts from HC "Fregata" will face HC "Pirin 64" (Gotse Delchev) and HC "Osam" (Lovech).
- In the second group, the national champion HC "Lokomotiv" (Gorna Oryahovitsa), HC "NSA" (Sofia), and HC "Spartak" (Varna) will compete.
The sports program officially starts on Saturday, September 12, at exactly 10:00 a.m. The first duel on the court will feature the "Fregata" team against the guests from Gotse Delchev, "Pirin 64". The climax of the sporting event is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, when the tournament final will be played at 1:00 p.m.
