The Fifth Edition of the "Friendship – Meaning and Salvation" Festival
The International Youth Literary and Film Festival "Friendship – Meaning and Salvation" returns to Burgas for its fifth consecutive year. From May 23 to 25, the NHK Cultural Center will turn into a stage for talent and humanity, bringing together 30 nominated participants from Bulgaria and abroad.
"Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire" – the motto that unites young creators in the 13th edition of the prestigious competition.
A Program Inspired by Knowledge and Art
The organizers from the Center for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation "Alef" have prepared a rich program:
- Lecture panels: Prof. Dr. Rumyana Hristidi and Prof. Dr. Georgi Bardarov will acquaint the participants with the historical context of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews and the power of humanity.
- Workshops: Specialists from the POLIN Museum in Warsaw will conduct training on intercultural education, and director Kiril Todorov will lead a film class.
- Meetings: A personal conversation with writer Ivo Siromahov about the role of literature in the modern world.
Event Finale
The solemn ceremony for announcing the winners will take place on May 24 under the motto "Starring: Humanity". The culmination of the festival is on May 25 with the official opening of the "Alley of Humanity" in the Sea Garden of Burgas.
