Bulgaria, in partnership with Italy, Finland, and Romania, is hosting the prestigious Men's European Volleyball Championship — EuroVolley 2026. The capital, Sofia, will be the center of the competition, hosting not only the opening group stage matches but also the decisive round of 16 and quarter-final matches of the championship.
Burgas, which has established itself as one of the cities with the strongest volleyball traditions in the country, will fittingly honor this major sporting event. A special festival zone called "Volley Village Burgas" will be located in the Sea Garden. There, supporters and volleyball enthusiasts will have the opportunity to unite to cheer for the Bulgarian national team and follow the matches on a large screen. Following the exciting emotions of last year, when Bulgaria secured the world vice-champion title, the festival is a chance for fans to once again experience the key moments of the tournament together.
The "Volley Village Burgas" space will offer not only live broadcasts of the matches but also an extensive program featuring musical performances, various games, activities for all ages, and guest DJs. A modern stage and a massive video wall will be set up within the complex, located next to the Pantheon in the Sea Garden. Throughout the event period (from 09.09.2026 to 26.09.2026), visitors will have access to food and beverage areas, special tables, partner company tents, and a dedicated mini-volleyball court. Admission is free for everyone.
Program and activities
- Children's games, puzzles, and obstacle courses led by mentors Krum Apostolov ("Games of Will"), Krasi Dzhunov ("The Farm"), and Viktor Gogov ("Games of Will"), with the participation of guest stars from popular reality shows.
- Before every Bulgarian national team match, there will be a live commentary studio featuring Georgi and Valentin Bratoevi, who will discuss the matches alongside iconic Burgas athletes, singers, actors, public figures, and influencers.
- Musical entertainment will be provided by guest DJs every day, and on days when Bulgaria plays, there will be additional musical programming with bands and performers.
- The entire program and stage events will be hosted by Svetlozar Bodurov (Power FM), with every activity broadcast live on the partners' social media channels.
- At specific times of the day, activities organized by the event's partner companies will take place.
- Fans will have access to direct backstage broadcasts from the arena in Sofia, which will be shown on the video wall by Gencho Genchev, producer of EuroVolley 2026.
