We hope and want to succeed in adopting the budget by New Year's, GERB leader Boyko Borisov said in the corridors of parliament.
If the tripartite meeting agrees today, an official tripartite meeting is held on Monday, and if everything is fine and the budget is introduced in parliament on Tuesday, it should be considered next week as soon as possible, Borisov said, specifying that if a vote of no confidence is introduced, the procedure will be complicated and delayed. He added that if necessary, extraordinary sessions of parliament will be held in order to pass the state budget.
Borisov stated that he had asked the Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova to remove the link between the minimum wage and the average wage in the budget.
Regarding the upcoming introduction of a vote of no confidence in the government by PP-DB, Boyko Borisov stated that every party has the right to request it and the motives must be seen. He stressed that in the last year the government has provided significant funds under the Recovery Plan, investments have been attracted and contracts for new factories with „Rheinmetall“ have been signed. Commenting on the fact that funds had been stopped under the RRP because of the reform of the anti-corruption commission and the search for accountability from the chief prosecutor, Borisov stated that all of them had been stopped, and now billions have entered.
BTA recalls that on December 2, the EC announced that it approved Bulgaria's request for the payment of 1.6 billion euros under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), intended to support economic growth and the competitiveness of the country. Two stages – the creation of an anti-corruption body and the entry into force of legal acts related to criminal proceedings and the accountability and criminal liability of the chief prosecutor – have still not been satisfactorily implemented, the commission notes.
Regarding his relations with the leader of "DPS-Novo Nachalo" Delyan Peevski, Borisov said that today he will take a test to see if they are working together. „We collected the signatures and submitted to the parliament to close the „Soros“ commission. I appeal to the colleagues from PP-DB, who were not in the hall when voting, and the commission passed,“ he said and recalled that then GERB-SDS were against. Borisov said that „the mantra Borisov–Peevski must disappear“.
Regarding the fact that yesterday evening citizens associated with a party gathered in front of his house, Borisov stated that there were 50-60 people, and then they paid them off in a parking lot in „Lyulin“. He asked the parties and the public whether it is right for such things to happen in front of someone's house and that three children, in pajamas, should be taken to the neighbors.
