Boyko Borisov Re-elected as GERB Chairman Unanimously

The National Assembly of GERB re-elected Boyko Borisov as chairman with 983 votes in favor. Tomislav Donchev and Daniel Mitov were also re-elected as deputies.

The GERB National Assembly unanimously re-elected – with 983 votes "for", with no "against" or "abstentions" – Boyko Borisov for a new four-year term as chairman of the party and of the Executive Commission. The forum is taking place in Sofia.

There were no other candidates for the position.

Bulgaria needs strong leadership, said Yordanka Fandakova when presenting the candidacy.

With unanimity, at the suggestion of Borisov, the delegates re-elected Tomislav Donchev and Daniel Mitov as deputy chairmen of GERB and of the Executive Commission. Tomislav Donchev is our Confucius, said leader Borisov when presenting the nominations.

The Executive Commission consists of 15 members and also includes Dimitar Nikolov, Zhivko Todorov, Yordanka Fandakova, Delyan Dobrev, Denitsa Sacheva, Kostadin Dimitrov, Todor Todorov, Ilter Sadakov, Georg Georgiev, Stefan Arsov, Kostadin Angelov and Vladimir Temelkov.

Tsveta Karayancheva became chairman of the Control Commission.

A special guest at the event is the Secretary General of the European People's Party, Dolors Montserrat, who greeted the delegates of the forum, which began in Bulgarian with "good day friends, thank you".
