The collection of short stories "Emigrant Wills and Unwillingness" by Boyko Antonov will be presented at the "Dechko Stoev" City Art Gallery in Pomorie. The event will take place on Monday, 21.09.2026, at 6:00 PM. In this literary work, readers will follow the experiences of a man who spent three decades in America and the fate of a Bulgarian emigrant.

"It is a mistake to think that mathematics, which is my passion, distances us from literature and the written word. On the contrary, within it, alongside numbers and integrals, there is much poetry locked within the human being. We only need to find the key to it," Boyko Antonov shares about himself. It is precisely this philosophical connection between logic and poetry, combined with the images of picturesque local landscapes, Revival-era architecture, galleries, and the small cobblestone streets of the Old Town—deeply embedded in his consciousness since early childhood—that prompted the author to take up the pen. He attempts to intertwine his personal destiny and the power of memory through a series of short stories.

Boyko Antonov's professional path is closely linked to computing technologies, and his career has included leading major projects in many different countries around the world. Born in Plovdiv, he graduated with a degree in "Production Automation" in his hometown. Although he has lived in the USA for 30 years, memories of the antique secrets and the beauty of Plovdiv remain a part of his creative world.
