Bulgaria and GERB are a reliable and predictable partner in the European Union and NATO. I assured the President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, of this during a conversation at the European People's Party (EPP) summit in Zagreb, wrote the leader of the party, Boyko Borisov, on his Facebook profile.

Our country has always worked to increase the competitiveness of Europe and its security. In this context, I informed the President of the EC about the process of building a strategic military-industrial plant between "Rheinmetall" and Bulgaria on the territory of our country. Over 1000 new jobs will be created in it, and German know-how and the traditions and standards of the Bulgarian military industry will meet in the production, adds the leader of GERB.

Boyko Borisov is participating in the summit of the European People's Party (EPP), which is being held in Zagreb (Croatia), announced the press center of GERB.

The leader of GERB spoke yesterday with the President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber. In the conversation, Borisov supported the EPP's position that the EU should urgently build real European defense capabilities by 2030, in close cooperation with NATO.
