Borislav Sarafov resigns from leadership positions in the prosecutor's office
The Prosecutors' Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) held an extraordinary meeting, at which it officially accepted the resignation of Borislav Sarafov.
The decision was made following an application submitted by Sarafov for early release from the positions of Director of the National Investigation Service (NIsS) and Deputy Prosecutor General.
Voting results
At today's meeting, a total of eight magistrates cast their votes in support of the request for dismissal. The procedure proceeded without unnecessary delays after it became clear earlier today that Sarafov himself had submitted his resignation documents.
