The second day of the Apollonia Festival of Arts in Sozopol offered the audience a rich and varied program, featuring meetings with prominent creators, exciting literary premieres, classical concerts, and theatrical performances. The festival's history dates back to 1984, and it is organized by the Apollonia Foundation, established in 1991. Every year, the event attracts hundreds of artists and thousands of art lovers from both Bulgaria and around the world, with the main goal remaining the support of new talent and the preservation of cultural traditions.
The day began with the "Price of Success" segment, featuring singer Nina Nikolina as the first guest for this year. During the meeting, she analyzed her musical journey, the professional choices she made, and the invisible price every artist pays for their success. The program for this segment also includes an additional event scheduled for September 1, when BTA – a media partner of the festival – will present the 12 issues of LIK magazine published since the previous edition of Apollonia.
The Art Gallery space became a hub for literary meetings. There, the book "My Path in Art" by Prof. Dimo Dimov was presented. The publication tracks the creative and professional biography of the musician, who is also the founder of the festival, and the meeting gave those present a chance to connect with his personal memories and stories from various stages of his life. Later, in the same venue, "A Love Reader" by journalist Milena Dimitrova was also presented. The book gathers stories about the many faces of love, covering a wide range from mythological plots and historical figures to personal experiences such as flirting, marriage, separation, and human weaknesses. The presentation turned into a discussion on love as one of the eternal themes in art and daily life.
The Apollonia theater program offered viewers the production "Madame Johann Strauss," presented by the Stefan Makedonski National Music Theatre on the stage of the Otets Paisiy community center. Lovers of classical music had the opportunity to enjoy a recital by pianist Alexander Hinchev in the halls of the Archaeological Museum. The film festival program highlighted the screening of the movie Made in EU at the Summer Cinema, and the climax of the evening was the concert by the band D2 on the stage of the Apollonia Amphitheater.
The Apollonia Festival of Arts continues until September 6. This year's program is impressive, featuring over 70 events that unite the fields of music, theater, literature, cinema, and fine art.
