Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) is taking entries until 1 November 2026 for the second Teen Time National Teenage Awards 2026, the radio said.
Students in grades 5 to 12, aged 12 to 19 inclusive, can take part. The contest has six categories.
BNR, its teen programme "Teen Time" on the Hristo Botev channel, and the Dimitar Elenov Foundation organise the contest. The Ministry of Education and Science and the UNESCO Regional Centre support it. Its motto is "Create! Be brave!".
Entrants do not need earlier awards or proven achievements. Any young person who has something to show, say or create, or who has a cause, can enter.
"Teen Time Creator" is for performers, artists, musicians and other creative people, and "Teen Time Writer" is for prose and poetry. "Teen Time Science" covers educational and scientific achievements and ideas. "Teen Time Influencer" rewards meaningful social media content that encourages positive growth.
The "Teen Time Responsible" category is for teenagers with a social commitment, who take part in causes and change the world around them. "Teen Time Guardian" rewards young people who know, protect and promote intangible cultural heritage.
Entries can be a story, a poem, a science project, a social media profile, a volunteer initiative or a skill that keeps a tradition alive. A panel of experts will judge them.
The organisers want to make positive examples among young people more visible. They also want to encourage more teenagers to develop their talent, follow their interests and be active in society.
The rules and category descriptions are posted on the BNR News website and on the Facebook page of the Hristo Botev programme.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Great Hall of NATFA on 27 November 2026.
