BNR Burgas looks back at the tourist season on the southern Black Sea coast in its morning show on Monday, September 28, running until 10am, the radio station says.
Local officials on the southern coast say this season's figures come close to summer 2025's. Guests on the show are Primorsko mayor Ivan Gaykov and Manol Todorov, Burgas deputy mayor for tourism. With the season over, they also touch on some sore points: money for events, beach concessions and noise.
The show's education segment also returns today for the autumn schedule. French teacher Vanya Gabrovska joins as a guest to talk about learning foreign languages and the best age to start.
The culture segment covers the launch of "Vangelia" in Burgas. The book came out in 2026 and tells a picture parable for children and adults alike. Its author, Zheni Kostadinova, writes books and studies on the life, prophecies and teachings of Baba Vanga. This year marks 115 years since Vanga's birth and 30 years since she died.
After 9am, the same segment turns to the "Between Baghdad and Sarajevo" event, presenting two modern novels — "The Memory Forger" by Abbas Khider and "Radio Sarajevo" by Tijan Sila. Burgas translator Ekaterina Dzhuteva translated both books, and publisher Viktor Lilov joins the presentation.
Petya Yanakieva hosts the morning show, Nina Rangelova reads the news, and Vanya Zheleva-Gensuzova is the sound engineer.
