The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) will put into circulation from April 20 a silver collector's coin "150 Years of the April Uprising".
The coin is from the "Bulgarian Revival" series and has a face value of 10 euros (issue 2026). Its price upon release is 144 euros (281.64 leva). The mintage is 5,000 pieces.
Coin design:
- Obverse: The BNB emblem, the year "1879", the Bridge of the First Rifle in the town of Koprivshtitsa, the year of issue "2026", the face value "10 euros", the inscription "Bulgarian National Bank".
- Reverse: The revolutionary flag with the inscription "Freedom or Death", a lion with a crown, the year "1876", laurel branches, the inscription "150 Years of the April Uprising". The author of the artistic project is Svetlin Balezdr.
Where to buy the coin:
- At four cash desks in the central building of the BNB, 1 Knyaz Alexander I Square in Sofia.
- At four cash desks in the BNB Cash Center, 10 Mihail Tenev St. in Sofia.
- In offices of "Investbank", "First Investment Bank", "Texim Bank", "Tokuda Bank" and "Central Cooperative Bank".
- At "Mint" EAD.
Purchase restrictions:
- Each client can purchase only one coin from the BNB cash desks.
- A notarized power of attorney is required for purchase on behalf of another person.
- Not sold to persons under 18 years of age.
By the end of the working day on April 20, the coin will be provided to the indicated banks and the Mint for sale.
