The Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) will award three scholarships in 2027, two for master's students and one for a doctoral student. Applications are open until 14 December 2026 inclusive, the BNB said.
The master's scholarships are for full-time students working towards a master's degree. Each pays €383.47 a month.
The doctoral scholarship pays €511.29 a month. It is for a person studying for a doctorate. All three scholarships are paid for nine months.

The BNB runs the competition every year. Its governing council set up the scholarships in 2004 to mark the bank's 125th anniversary. Since 2004, the bank has awarded 47 scholarships among 547 students and doctoral candidates who applied.
