A charity evening to raise money for the treatment of two-year-old Denitsa Nedyalkova takes place on October 6 at 7:30pm at the Gin Hall Burgas event venue in Burgas, organizers said on Facebook.
Treatment abroad will cost 1 million euros. The family has already raised 90% of that and needs just a little more to reach the full amount.
The girl, now two years and eight months old, has been fighting an aggressive tumor for more than a year. After an earlier round of treatment, the family heard the word "relapse" — the tumor had come back.
Doctors plan radiotherapy, targeted oral chemotherapy and costly immunotherapy shipped from the US, with a stem-cell transplant as the final step. The money needs to come in fast, because the drugs are ordered specially for her.
Performers taking the stage include Georgi Dyulgerov, Stefan Ilchev, Simona Zagorcheva, Kristiyan Nikolov and other artists from the Burgas music scene. Organizers say there will also be food. "We'll bring good people, lots of smiles and tasty food together in one place," they wrote.
The fundraising drive for Denitsa runs through the Pavel Andreev Foundation, which takes donations at Allianz Bank: IBAN BG03BUIN95611000742762, BIC BUINBGSF, recipient Pavel Andreev Foundation, reference Denitsa Nedyalkova.
