The initiative, which is held every year, aims to bring joy and smiles to children, young people and adults who are disadvantaged and using social services within the municipality. The goal is simple: to give each of them the opportunity to receive their dream Christmas gift and feel the magic of the holiday.
The campaign covers users from a total of 30 social centers located in the municipality. This is a sign of the wide participation and commitment of the local authorities in support of the most vulnerable members of society. Anyone wishing to donate can participate in two main ways: to personally choose who to give a gift to or to donate a special experience. This allows benefactors to personalize their donations, creating a stronger connection with the recipients.
To facilitate the process, Burgas Municipality provides an online list that is updated in real time. A small heart is placed next to the names of the people for whom gifts have already been provided. This system allows donors to track current needs and make their choice, knowing that their gesture will reach the one who needs it most. In addition, to facilitate preliminary coordination, the contacts of the managers of the social services are published in the list.
