People with rare diseases and their families can get free advice at a pop-up help desk by the Clock Tower in Burgas on September 29, from 1pm to 5pm, organisers from the "Partnership for the Rare" (PACT) project say.
Four specialists will be on hand: cardiologist Dr. Stamen Pishev, head of the Young Doctors Association; lawyer Elena Kokalarova, who has worked for years in medical and social law; social worker Rositsa Raykova; and psychotherapist Boyka Vangelova from the Bulgarian Huntington's Association.
Anyone living with a rare disease or another long-term disability can come for advice, and so can relatives who need information, guidance or psychological and social support.
The specialists will explain what rights, services and support people can get, and point them to the right institutions and resources if needed.
Organisers will also talk about the project's work so far and what comes next.
