The Specialized Hospital for Active Treatment of Pneumo-Phthisiatric Diseases in Burgas is participating in the National Tuberculosis Prevention Program. The medical facility is organizing an "Open Doors Week."
The campaign will take place from September 14 to September 18. Each day during this period, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., specialists will be conducting risk screenings via surveys and providing consultations in Office No. 8 of the Diagnostic-Consultative Block. For individuals suspected of having tuberculosis, examinations and additional tests will be performed.
The goal of the initiative is to ensure access to healthcare services and raise public awareness regarding risk factors, modes of transmission, forms of the disease, its prevention, and its treatment. The medical facility emphasizes that when hospitalization and treatment measures are taken in a timely manner, tuberculosis is a completely curable disease, while also breaking the chain of infection.
