Plovdiv's regional health insurance fund (RZOK) ended its contract on Wednesday, 7 October, with the private hospital where a 6-year-old boy died.
The health minister has ordered the hospital's licence to treat patients withdrawn. On Tuesday, 6 October, the Regional Health Inspectorate (RZI) in Plovdiv confirmed that the hospital had been served with the order.
The RZI says the hospital's patients have been discharged and will continue treatment at home. One patient has been moved to another medical facility, where he or she is being treated.
The dental centre in the same building has not faced the same action.
