Rapid response of rescue teams in Burgas
An incident with a happy ending took place in the "Vazrazhdane" district of Burgas. A baby became trapped in the elevator of a residential building after the doors closed suddenly, leaving the child alone inside.
The call was made to 112 at 9:00 AM. The child's mother attempted to unblock the door herself before seeking professional help.
How did the rescue operation proceed?
- Coordination: The 112 Regional Center in Burgas and teams from the Regional Directorate for "Fire Safety and Population Protection" responded immediately.
- Result: Only 11 minutes after receiving the signal, the child was brought out unharmed.
This case serves as a reminder of the increased caution required when using elevator facilities. We remind you that on April 1st, a similar rapid response by the police in Yambol prevented a tragedy involving a three-year-old child hanging from an eighth-floor balcony.
