The official statement from the Spanish club Racing Santander confirmed the transfer of promising Bulgarian goalkeeper Plamen Andreev as the first key reinforcement for the 2025-26 season. The player, who is owned by the Dutch giant Feyenoord, will be part of the team on a loan contract.
The BTA news agency was the first to report the interest in the young athlete, with negotiations being finalized in recent days. Andreev has a remarkable biography, having made his debut for Levski's first team as a teenager at the age of 16.
In his professional career, the Bulgarian national has already earned prestigious individual awards - twice selected as the best goalkeeper (2022-23 and 2023-24) and named the best young footballer in Bulgaria for the past year.
Andreev's new team - Racing Santander, will strive for promotion to the top Spanish football league - La Liga, relying on the talent of the Bulgarian goalkeeper.
