Bulgarian Talents Triumphed at ITF "Dema Cup" in Sofia: Young Tennis Players with Impressive Achievements

Young Bulgarian tennis players achieved remarkable results at an international J30 tournament in Sofia, winning titles and reaching finals in various age groups.

The pair Andrea Glushkova and Elena Papadopoulou demonstrated exceptional confidence during the J30 category ITF "Dema Cup" tournament, which is taking place in the capital's tennis club "Dema". The sixteen-year-old athletes won the girls' title, convincingly defeating the Romanian team of Anna-Sofia Andrei and Miruna Neculaes.

The final match in women's doubles ended with a decisive result – 6:0, 7:6(5) in favor of the Bulgarian duo. For Papadopoulou, this is her second title from ITF tournaments in the girls' category, while for Glushkova, this is her first success in this category.

In the men's youth competition, Samuil Peshev reached the doubles final, where together with his Ukrainian partner Rodion Chetverikov, they lost to the French-Belgian pair of Luc Haberkorn and Mathis Vanderborg with a score of 6:4, 3:6, 7-10.

Karolina Kostova also made a serious impression, having won four consecutive victories with minimal losses before her semi-final match in the girls' category. In an extremely competitive match, the 14-year-old athlete lost to American Sofia Dumitrasku with a score of 6:2, 2:6, 6:7(9).

The final stage of the tournament for girls will be contested between Sofia Dumitrasku and Leticia Solakov from Germany. In the boys' category, the finalists are David Popa from Romania and David Petrovsky from the Czech Republic.
