Folk Dance Club "Munich Horce" from Munich, Germany, continues its mission to spread Bulgarian dance culture among the expatriate community. Today, on August 3, the club is organizing another rehearsal for beginner dancers, extending a warm invitation to all who wish to immerse themselves in the magic of folk dances.

Founded on September 22, 2020, by Georgi Stoyanov, the ensemble quickly established itself as a significant cultural center for Bulgarians in the region. The group sets the ambitious goal of making folk dances accessible and attractive to as many enthusiasts as possible, regardless of their skill level.

Over the past five years, the collective has achieved remarkable successes. These include mastering over 70 traditional dances and three impressive dance compositions, inspired by the works of famous Bulgarian choreographers such as Kiril Haralampiev and Ivan Todorov.

The club regularly organizes various events, including monthly dance gatherings, mountain hikes, and open rehearsals. Among their most significant performances in the past year are presentations to a German audience, showcasing the richness of different folklore regions, a joint Christmas concert with the "Bulgarian Rose" choir, and festival appearances.

Among their notable international achievements are first prizes from the "Christmas Stars" and "Balkantage" festivals, where they successfully represent Bulgarian national culture. Their participation in the tenth edition of "At the Square of the Other Bulgaria" in Lyon, France, they consider particularly significant.

In addition to their dance performances, the ensemble is also engaged in charitable activities, donating funds to the "Bulgarian Christmas" campaign in 2024. Their motto "Eyes get scared, feet do not" emphasizes their philosophy of overcoming fears and embracing traditions.

Driven by the desire to preserve and promote Bulgarian folklore, members of "Munich Horce" continue to expand their cultural horizons, attracting more and more young dancers and enthusiasts of authentic folk art.
