On July 25 in the Argentine city of Berisso, a photographic exhibition "Roots" will be opened, which will present the unique cultural heritage of the Bulgarian community in South America. The event is part of the Immigrants Festival and will be held at the Cultural and Memorial Center of the Malvinas Islands.
The exhibition will showcase members of the Bulgarian Cultural Society "Ivan Vazov" and dancers from the folklore ensemble "Sedyanka", dressed in authentic national costumes from different Bulgarian ethnographic regions. The official opening is planned for 6:00 PM local time.
The representatives of the society share their excitement about the opportunity to present the richness and diversity of Bulgarian folklore. The organization, founded in 1955 in the province of Buenos Aires, aims to unite the descendants of Bulgarian settlers from the first half of the 20th century.
The "Ivan Vazov" Society functions as an important cultural center that preserves the Bulgarian spirit far from the homeland. In addition to the photo exhibition, the organization conducts language courses, celebrates national holidays, and organizes meetings between compatriots. The society also has a Bulgarian-language library and the "Sedyanka" dance ensemble.
