The literary community marks the significant achievement of a Bulgarian creative personality, whose short story "Bread" has been awarded high recognition in an international competition. The publication "Flame" – an established almanac for verbal arts, presents the work in its second issue for 2025 under the editorship of Georgi Konstantinov.
The publication is part of the specialized rubric "Bulgarian Writers Abroad", which brings together literary voices of fellow countrymen residing abroad. The author's biography reveals a rich creative and professional profile. Born in 1971 in Pazardzhik, Diana Hristova graduated from a high school with an arts profile under the mentorship of sculptor Dobrin Gochev. Subsequently, she acquired a law degree from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", specializing in corporate and banking law.
Since 2003, the writer has been residing in Valencia, Spain, where she continues to develop her literary activity. Her works have been published in various periodicals and collections, winning numerous national and international awards. Her current short story was awarded the grand prize in the prose section of a literary competition held in the German city of Hamburg in 2023.
Diana Hristova is an author of diverse literary forms – short stories, impressions, articles, and the novel "Sky Color", which establish her as a significant contemporary Bulgarian writer with international recognition.
