Bulgaria strengthens its defense with new anti-drone systems

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) has officially confirmed that the first two anti-drone systems, announced by Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov, have already been delivered to the country. The equipment was purchased from the American company AXON.

"The process of integrating them and putting them into operation is underway," the ministry's press center reported.

Upcoming deliveries and operational plans

In addition to the devices already received, two more systems are expected to arrive in the near future. Their acquisition is part of a large-scale modernization plan prompted by the increasing number of incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles entering Bulgarian airspace, such as the one on August 8.

The "Security Assistance for Europe" (SAFE) instrument

The Ministry emphasizes that it is working rapidly to secure modern means for detecting and neutralizing drones to ensure the security of state borders and strategic sites.
