Bulgaria categorically condemns the attack with unmanned aerial vehicles against civilian objects on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Azerbaijan. This was stated by the caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynski in a conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced on its website.
On Thursday, the Azerbaijani news agency reported that a drone that took off from the territory of Iran exploded at the international airport in Nakhchivan, and another drone exploded near a school in the village of Shakerabad, Babek district.
In the conversation, Neynski expressed Bulgaria's solidarity with the Azerbaijani state and people in connection with the attack and expressed hope for the quick recovery of the victims.
The Foreign Minister also expressed gratitude on behalf of Bulgaria for the assistance of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in the evacuation of employees of our country's embassy in Tehran.
