Modernization of the Bulgarian Air Force: New 3D radars for the army
The government is taking a decisive step toward upgrading military infrastructure. The Council of Ministers has officially proposed that the National Assembly ratify the contract for the acquisition of new 3D radars, which are of key importance for national security.
The new systems will provide continuous real-time surveillance, increasing Bulgaria's interoperability with NATO allies.
Project details
- Investment: Parliament already approved the expenditure for the purchase of 7 three-coordinate radars on June 10.
- Functionality: The radars will support both daily defense tasks and international commitments within the Alliance.
- Technological advantage: The transition to 3D technology will significantly improve the efficiency of tracking air traffic and early warning.
Ratification in the National Assembly is expected to proceed without difficulty, given the strategic importance of the project for the country's defense capabilities.
