As a result of the extreme weather conditions that have affected the Burgas region, and the accompanying heavy rainfall, a serious emergency is being observed in the Tsarevo municipality. A number of problems have arisen in the municipality, affecting key facilities of "Water Supply and Sewerage" JSC - Burgas, which has caused concern among the local population.

The main problem is the damage to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Tsarevo. In addition, 10 sewage pumping stations, which serve the population of the municipality, are also affected by the disaster. The situation is further complicated by damage to the water supply network, which provides water to the Vasiliko district and the village of Velika.

The teams of "Water Supply and Sewerage" JSC, Burgas, demonstrated a quick reaction. By 4:00 PM, the water supply failures were repaired, and the operation of 6 sewage pumping stations was restored. This represents significant progress in managing the crisis situation.

At the present moment, there are no settlements or districts in the Tsarevo municipality that have been left without water supply. This gives hope that the biggest challenges have been overcome, despite the remaining problems.

The wastewater treatment plant in Tsarevo is still not functioning. The Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water (RIOSV) Burgas has been notified of this critical situation. After the water from the facilities is drained, an inspection will be carried out to determine the damage. Repair work to restore the operation of the plant is scheduled to begin on October 6, 2025 - a key date for the restoration of normal life in the region.

The emergency teams of the company remain ready to intervene in the event of new accidents. They are mobilized and ready to provide support to the other state services that are working to eliminate the consequences of the heavy rainfall in the Burgas region. With the onset of darkness, the atmosphere of anxiety is palpable, but the hope for a quick recovery remains.
