Zafirov noted that the leadership question is not the most important issue facing BSP, but the question of the party's path. He emphasized that BSP is confused, but not exhausted.

At the beginning of his speech, Zafirov shared that the party is facing challenges, including pressure and questions about the future. He stressed the need to preserve the party and give it a future.

Zafirov recalled the difficulties that BSP faced when taking over the chairmanship, such as financial problems and the risk of disintegration. He pointed out that he aimed for stabilization and managed to stop the collapse.

Zafirov commented on BSP's participation in power, stating that it was a conscious choice in the conditions of an institutional crisis in order to protect incomes and stability. He noted that BSP did not leave power because of weakness, but because of internal conflicts.
