Bulgarian footballer Atanas Chernev recorded a remarkable match for his new team Estrela Amadora during a friendly match against Saudi giant Al Nassr. The match, held in the sports complex in Oeiras, ended with a minimal 1:0 victory for the Portuguese team.
The only goal in the match was scored by Alan Godoy - a former footballer of Barcelona's reserve team, who scored during the second half. Chernev, who previously was part of the Botev Plovdiv squad, played an impressive 85 minutes, demonstrating exceptional concentration and mastery in the defensive line.
In the Saudi team's lineup were notable world-famous footballers such as Joao Felix, who played the full 90 minutes, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who remained on the field for one half. The Bulgarian defender performed extremely convincingly, winning almost all aerial duels and actively participating in building attacking actions.
The match took place under specific conditions - without an audience, with only official representatives of the two clubs present on the stands. During the match, there were short breaks for hydration and tactical instructions from the coaching staff.
In an additional friendly match later the same day, the reserves and youth team of Estrela Amadora suffered a 0:1 loss to Rio Ave, which was the first loss for the team during the summer preparation period.
