A New Vision for the Management of "Lukoil"
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Alexander Pulev announced that the new special commercial manager of "Lukoil" – Evgeni Simeonov, has already met the regulatory requirements. He has submitted a detailed 6-month development plan for the company, which is directly aimed at protecting the interests of Bulgarian consumers.
"For me, this is not sufficient proof that he (Rumen Spetsov) has the necessary experience to handle this task," commented Alexander Pulev.
Criticism of Rumen Spetsov's Management
Pulev did not spare his criticism of the previous manager Rumen Spetsov, pointing out that no such document had been presented during his tenure. According to the Minister, this was due to a lack of expertise or a lack of desire for accountability.
- Lack of a 6-month development plan.
- Comparison between experience at the NRA (National Revenue Agency) and the scale of "Lukoil".
- Need for transparency in fuel pricing.
Why is "Lukoil" important for Bulgaria?
The Minister defined the company as a structural enterprise, whose market behavior directly influences final prices at gas stations. The new appointment was selected from a structure closely linked to fuel supervision and inventory monitoring in order to ensure more effective control.
