An Acting and Directing Academy of the Chekhov Institute is being held at the Youth International Center (YIC-Burgas) - an intensive three-day program aimed at young professionals and students in the field of performing arts.
The training is led by established lecturers Vladimir Baicher and Vyacheslav Shiryaev and presents the practical principles of the “Method of Mikhail Chekhov” and the “Stanislavski System”.
YIC-Burgas provides the necessary base and the appropriate conditions that support the effective course of the training, the program of which includes lectures, exercises and work on the construction of a stage image.
A special focus is the joint preparation of a performance based on “The Queen of Spades” by Alexander Pushkin. Participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a real creative process, and the finished performance will be put on before an audience after its completion.
The theater academy establishes Burgas as a significant center for culture and education and creates space for the development of the next generation of artists in the performing arts.
