Akhtopol will host the National "Youth" U18 Surfing Competition for surfers under 18 from across the country, the town hall says. Young surfers and enthusiasts from all over Bulgaria will gather in the waters off Akhtopol to show their skills, sportsmanship and love of the sea.
After the main event ends, there's a free surf session called "The Oldies" for those over 18. Competitors there also take part in the contest, with an independent panel judging their runs.
The event is run by the Akasha surf school, which puts together the water sports calendar. This is the school's third and final competition of the year, closing out its season. The day is dedicated to the sea, surfing and Bulgaria's surf community.
