The international mathematics elite arrives in Nessebar
Nearly 900 participants from 11 countries will compete in the final tournament of the 13th edition of the "Mathematics Without Borders" International Tournament. The prestigious event will take place in the town of Nessebar from July 4th to 7th.
The event is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Nessebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, and the Lyuben Karavelov Secondary School is the host of the finals.
Program highlights:
- July 4: Official opening at 8:30 a.m. in the school courtyard.
- Special guest: Meeting with Willie Young (Singapore) and planting of the "Singapore Rose" in the Mathematics Garden.
- Participants: Young talents from Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Estonia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Malta, Turkey, Romania, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
- Final: The solemn awarding of the winners will take place on July 7 at 9:00 a.m. on the stage of the amphitheater in Old Nessebar.
A source of pride for the hosts from Lyuben Karavelov Secondary School are Dimitar R. Terziev (1st grade) and Alex D. Minkov (5th grade), who will represent the school in the individual and team competitions.
