A court in Burgas has jailed S.S. for 8 years for killing A.N. in the city's Dolno Ezerovo district, the court's press office says. He was convicted under articles 115 and 55, paragraph 1, point 1 of the criminal code and will serve his term under strict regime.
The court found him guilty of deliberately killing the victim on December 29, 2024, by hitting him on the head with a wooden club. The man suffered a skull fracture and brain injury and died on December 31 at Burgas University Hospital.
The court also ordered S.S. to pay 150,000 euros in damages to the civil claimants.
The ruling can be appealed at the Burgas appeals court within 15 days.
