A 73-year-old man has died in a car accident on the Sofia – Karnobat – Aytos road. The incident occurred last night, around 9:10 PM, in the direction of Karnobat.
According to police information, a passenger car crashed into an agricultural machine while traveling at an unsafe speed. As a result of the collision, the 73-year-old driver of the car died at the scene.
The combine harvester was operated by a 35-year-old man from Aytos. Tests for alcohol and drugs administered to the driver of the agricultural machinery returned negative results. The man has been detained in police custody for up to 24 hours.
