52 fires have been extinguished in the country in the last 24 hours. This was announced on the website of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" (GDPSPC). Fire crews responded to 79 calls for incidents.
There was one fatality and one injured in fires in the past 24 hours.
On December 13 at 03:25 a.m. a report of a fire in a building in the Mladost district of Sofia was received. After the fumes cleared, a charred body of a man of unknown identity was found among the burning waste.
On December 13 at 02:56 a.m. a report of a fire in a house in the village of Borilovo, Stara Zagora region, was received. A 69-year-old woman was injured, suffering burns as a result of the fire.
12 of the fires in the last 24 hours caused material damage, four of which were in residential buildings. 40 fires occurred without material damage.
22 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, three of which were in transport vehicle accidents.
