The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BCC) has developed and implemented 5 innovative electronic tools for diagnosing and evaluating factors, processes, and skills in managing age diversity and generational differences in enterprises. The project is funded under the "Human Resources Development" Program.
The tools include:
- Identification and assessment of specific age characteristics and generational differences.
- Measurement and evaluation of team effectiveness in the context of managing age diversity.
- Diagnosis and assessment of organizational culture.
- Measurement and evaluation of employee engagement and integrity.
- Measurement and evaluation of leadership potential in multigenerational teams.
The process included pilot sectors, expert training, testing by 15 experts from the enterprises, and certification through distance learning for 111 employees.
The implementation took place in October – November 2025, with an electronic platform and instructions. Sectoral referents have also been trained.
Experts anticipate application in the development of strategies, people management, leadership development, and team effectiveness. Obstacles are the lack of experience, time, and specialists.
Pilot sectors include manufacturing, trade, hospitality, catering, food processing, information technology, furniture production, wood products, dairy products, and artistic activities.
The Economic and Social Council (ESC) adopted an Opinion on managing age differences, taking into account the changes in the workforce. They warn of prejudice and intolerance.
