A revolutionary study, published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology, reveals the potential of short physical exertions to transform health in people with a sedentary lifestyle.
The study, conducted on July 28, 2025, covers participants between 32 and 69 years old who perform simple exercises such as chair squats, wall push-ups, side bends, and heel raises.
The results are extremely impressive: in just four weeks, the subjects achieve remarkable progress. Push-ups increase by 66%, abdominal exercises by 51%, and isometric strength improves by 13%.
Besides physical improvement, experts also note a significant increase in mental well-being – a 16% increase, and vitality by 20%. Heart efficiency also improves, demonstrated by a decrease in heart rate during a step test.
The study conclusively proves that even a short 5-minute workout can cause significant positive changes in the body.
