Road accidents across Bulgaria killed one person and injured 31 others over the past 24 hours, interior ministry data published on its website show. Police recorded 21 crashes in total during that time.
In Sofia, there was one serious crash and 33 minor ones in the same period. One person was hurt; no one died.
Bulgaria has seen 5,057 crashes since the start of the year. They have killed 346 people and injured 6,276.
That's 25 more deaths on the roads than in the same period last year. The comparison is based on the actual death toll recorded over the same period last year.
