Drugs behind the wheel: Another case in Burgas
On May 22, around 02:20, officers from the Fourth Regional Police Department – Burgas carried out an inspection of a "Hyundai Ioniq 5" passenger car in the area of "Zahari Stoyanov" St. in the "Meden Rudnik" residential complex, near the "Efbet" casino. A 27-year-old woman from Burgas was behind the wheel of the vehicle.
During the field test, it was established that the young woman was driving the car after using narcotic substances – cocaine and methamphetamine.
Consequences for the driver
- The driver was detained with a police detention order for a period of up to 24 hours.
- A fast-track proceeding has been initiated in the case.
The police in Burgas continue their increased road control, once again reminding of the dangers of driving after using intoxicating substances.
