One person died in 162 fires that broke out in Bulgaria over the last 24 hours, according to the General Directorate „Fire Safety and Civil Protection“ (FSCD). Firefighting teams received a total of 20 incident reports during this period.
16 fires caused direct material damage. Four of these broke out in residential buildings, while two occurred in outbuildings, temporary structures, or makeshift sheds. Five fires involved vehicles, one burned in a forest massif, and two affected outdoor facilities.
146 fires resulted in no material damage. Of these, 102 occurred in dry grass, forest litter, and shrubs, while the remaining 36 were in waste materials.
In addition to firefighting, FSCD teams carried out 33 rescue activities and assistance operations.
There were seven false emergency calls during the last 24 hours.
